In order to enroll in this program, a prospective student must possess a high school diploma or equivalent  certification.  In addition to the history, causes, and control of infectious diseases this course also focuses on the agencies associated with disease control; the structure of the immune system; the legal issues associated with infection control; and the difference between infectious diseases and communicable diseases.
